Shades of Green

(argh, saved as draft, forgot to post, this was written on Saturday)

The trip down to San Diego was quite fun. Got to hang out with some people I haven't seen and indulge all sorts of nerdly delights with Keith and Kevin. The internet is a strange and wonderful place and it takes a special kind of person to really appreciate some of the more eclectic things on it ^_^.

Highlights of the trip included almost missing the bus at Coalinga Junction after our lunch stop (when the bus driver says he's leaving soon...you best believe it!), hanging out at the beach with Adam, bonfire, Balboa Park, quesadillas at a museum, Magic Mountain, watching silly things on the internet, and some of the best chocolate milk I've ever had in my life (Hershey's!).

What was interesting is that the trip gave me some time to reflect on the near future, as college is coming to an end and who knows in what direction everyone will be going. Some of my best friends may be parting ways to the unknown, such as Kevin who will be heading off to Pennsylvania. Crazy go nuts. Who knows what he'll find there and when he'll make his way back to us. Who knows when he gets back if there will even be an us anymore? I think it is important that we make as great an effort to keep ties with the ones we care about, as the time in which we may never see each other again may be sooner than you think. Of course, hopefully taht time will never come, but life is often an unpredictable bitch.

Anyways, in other news, the internship is going well, but also going fairly slow. I'd be happier if we could stop researching all this crap and get down to actually coding some shit. Slowly getting back into the swing of things.
Yesterday, we actually had a fairly efficient Monopoly game surprisingly. It was fun playing it, as I haven't in an extremely long time. It really brought me back, and it actually ended!
Today was a CalSO, and it was really nice seeing all these people again and connecting with them. It makes me anticipate the fall season even more.

Quote of the day: "Don't stop believin..." -several people
