Shades of Green

I had an interesting thought the other day. One of my friends did something to another one of my friends. It was something that I would call "mean". In the large scale of things (and actually even in the small scale of things), it didn't really mean anything, but it was somewhat rude, especially given some things that happened prior to the event.

However, I thought to myself, that in some strange way, in being mean to this person, it may have actually been helping that person out. Being mean may have actually been beneficial to this other person. I strongly doubt that that was the intention of the act, but perhaps it served as a small lesson in life, that you can't always get what you want and that bad things happen, so you have to learn to deal with it in your own way (or perhaps be assertive and change things yourself).

A strange thought, but it's what ran through my mind at the time. Funny how these things work, no?

This weekend was absent of Cal Football, thanks to not going to U-Dub in favor of going to my cousin's wedding. It was a short but sweet ceremony, and a short but also sweet reception. 2 down, 3 to go. I also got to try out my new suit and a new shirt and tie that my mom and sister bought for me. I gotta say, I look pretty damn good in it.

Quote of the day: "Oh, guess what? G-daddy and G-mama are still here!" -Andre (he was talking about his grandmama and granddaddy....I had no idea what he meant by that)
