Saw Sin City tonight.

Truly one of the better movies I've seen in a while. However, it had some flaws that I can't quite pinpoint. Everything that makes a great movie was in this film, but something was missing.

Highly stylized art and film direction? Check
All star cast? Check
Gratuitious violence and nudity? Check
Interesting, complex, and well-fleshed-out characters? Check
Excellent script with quotable one-liners? Check
Believable acting? For the most part, Check

So I'm not really sure why I didn't 100% enjoy this movie, I mean it's got all the right ingredients. I was highly entertained while I was watching it, it was a lot of fun, and it comes with a definite recommendation to go see it. I guess it's just that extra dash of something that sews everything together juuuuuuuuust right that was missing.

Final verdict: very very very good, but not GREAT. B+++ or A---
