Shades of Green

Wow. I spent most of yesterday staring at a screen. It was an interesting day.

Work in the morning. It wasn't too bad of a day, until the freaking 30-person party came in at around 1. Oh yeah, and that just HAPPENED to be the time when everyone else comes in too. :P Well, at least I got to stay on the clock for about another hour. Lord knows I could use some more pay. My latest paycheck wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, but it was still kinda pitiful.

I guess I should be thankful. After all, even though it is second semester sr year, I'm still pretty bogged down with work, and I'm about to take on a few more commitments (sr project, webcomic writing, guitar lessons). I discussed it a bit with Raymond at the library. I guess it's a bit nice to just work on the weekends and get "pocket money". Basically a bigger allowance. I kinda want to ask for more hours, but I always think back to when I first started working and how it tired me out to work 4 times a week, especially when I had school stuff to do. And of course, I was missing some primo TV! I almost missed a few episodes of my beloved Amazing Race!!!

Anyways, after I got back home, I wanted to go to EB in order to preorder Zelda and pick up the Zelda 64 disc, but my parents wanted to go to Oakland for gohm-tang. So I stayed home. Here' wehre my screen watching started. It breaks down something like this:

About 1-1.5 hours of CardCaptor Sakura (sooooo freaking cute!!!!)
While cleaning my room, I also surfed the internet for an hour or 2.
More internet, but this time econ research :(
An hour of the Simpsons.

At this time, I remembered the Halo setup I had heard so much about. 12 player Halo sounded interesting, and I wanted to see my good pal Allen again, but it was difficult to get myself motivated, since I was a bit tired. But i ended up going anyways and had a great time, even though I ended up on the short end of the stick a lot. Hehe. Twas fun. After a lotta ass-kicking in Halo (or ass-handing-to-me), we went out to...well, we looked and looked but found no restaurant-esque facility open, so we went to reliable Safeway for frozen goods to nuke and eat. After getting back to Colin's and watching a little bit of Two Towers, I dozed off. This was at about 1:45. When I woke up, it was about 4 O_o. Hehe, good thing my parents were asleep and I explained to them I would get back kinda late.

(sigh) more of 2nd semester needs to be like this

:P
