Updatin from school....

Gah, I need to get to sleep earlier. It's not even acase of finishing my work anymore. I either usually get it done or figure I can get it done before whatever class. No, these days I just seem to be going to bed late for going to bed late's sake. (Sigh) Oh well, I guess I'll have to fix taht.

What I really want to do is buckle down and get some studying done for the SAT 2s, but somehow I doubt that wil happen. (sigh). What is wrong with me/? I had the whole freaking summer to at least look at the book, and I wasted it all away. I mean, I had fun of course, but i coulda really used some of that time. Now I have a little more than 2 weeks to finish that damn book, and I am only on chapter 5.

Well, I guess it can't be helped. ON to happier news. It seems that since I have to leave my Thursday shift at dear old Kaiser. While I would have to leave some of my friends, the good news is that some of my friends would have to leave with me. Hopefully we can all get the same shift. I'm most likely moving to Saturday 1-4, cuz Tabitha and Michelle offered me a leadership position there. that would be so awesome. I haven't even been with Kaiser for a year, maybe only 9 months. Hhehehehe, I wanna see if this is a record for the time it takes from starting to becoming a shift leader. Well, at least I think it's shift leader position. She said supervisor, but in the context she put it in, shift leader makes more sense. there are two shift leaders per shift, and she said "both of them were leaving, and that I am definitely eligible." So, it makes sense that way. Either way, that's what I'll keep telling myself til I find out for sure :P

Anyways

THE AMAZING RACE REPORT:

Leg 3: Tulum, Mexico to Aberdeen, Scotland

Lots of trouble this week as international flights were trying to be made in a slim margin of time. Most teams made it out ok, but one team was left hopelessly behind. Europe is much more interesting than Mexico.

Currently in first: Derek and Drew, the twins, by a slim margin. They managed to maintain their lead.

Other teams in/near the lead: Ken and Gerard (brothers), Flo and Zach, Aaron and Arianne (friends, possible lovers, iono those 2 teams relationship dynamic is weird), Michael and Kathy (dating), and Heather and Eve (friends)

Trailin Teams: John Vito and Jill (dating), Andre and Damon (friends), and Teri and ian (married)

Eliminated: Dennis and Andrew, the conservative father and gay son couple. I'm sad to see these two go, cuz they were very entertaining and Andrew was a pretty cheerful guy. It looked like their relationship improved over the course of the race, which is good. However, they were pretty close before the race too.Detour

Detour: Punt or Bike
Punt: Ride a gondola-like boat called a punt down a river for a mile
Bike: bike for 6 miles

Roadblock: One person must perform three ancient Scottish highland games.
1. the caber toss: toss a giant log so it flips end over end and lands straight
2. the hammer throw: throw a hammer (ball thing, not a hammer) a certain distance into a box
3. shotput: throw the shotput until the end

Fast Forward: Go to a military training camp and drive a tank on a course in under 90 seconds. Taken by Dennis and Andrew, but it wasn't enough to get them back in the lead.

Quote of the day: none yet, it's pretty early
