Hooray!
Today was a day full of triumph and victory. In programming, I found out that I got a 30/30 on the test yesterday. My program didn't have nearly as spectacular a score (16/20), but put together, they made a very respectable score. Unfortuantely, I also discovered that Mr. Lou is probably missing a score on his grade sheet. I'll have to "settle" this with him tomorrow (chuckles evilly). Also, after staring at the screen for about an hour, I finally figured out how I should go about solving the latest program. With luck, I should have it done by tomorrow. For some reason, I had more fun in DVC today than I have in a while. Something about it was different today. I couldn't put my finger on it...
Anyways, afterwards, I saw another movie with some friends. This time, it was the Powerpuff Girls Movie, and it freakin rocked. However, if you go into this movie thinking that its going to be just like an extended episode of the Powerpuff Girls (like I did), you may be in for a bit of a surprise. While the Powerpuff Girls series is based upon the girls' inane antics and crazy adventures, the movie took a turn for the serious. It was essentially the story of how the Powerpuff Girls first came to be (a more lengthy explanation than in the show's opening sequence) and how they managed to gain acceptance as Townsville's heroes. While the movie definitely had its scenes of utter wackiness and mayhem, it also features the girls like you've never seen em before (get your head out o da gutter). The character development and the plot really shine in this movie, as you can truly see the girls grow and gain respect from the citizens of Townsville as they try to make right of all the wrongs they have done. I know this is pretty vague, but I don't want to spoil it. If you're a fan of the Powerpuff Girls, see this movie to get an entirely different perspective on the series. If you're not a fan of the Powerpuff Girls (as in you don't really know what it's about), see it anyways. It's designed so that even a total stranger to the series could jump in and enjoy it.
Hmmmm... I've been seeing an awful lot of movies lately, whether I pay for them or not.
Vanilla Sky: The FREAKIEST movie I've seen in a very, very long time. This movie is almost like the American film equivalent of Serial Experiments Lain (an anime). I recommend that everyone go see it. They play it on In-Demand all the time, and there doing some kind of free preview showing right now, so go see it now! Now!!!!!!!
