Shades of Green

Haven't updated this thing in ages. Gotta remind myself to do this on a more daily basis. I guess I just don't have much to talk about. Didn't really do much in the time between the end of school and the start of DVC besides crash at people's houses and mooch food off of them.

DVC was quite interesting. Not the first time I've been on the campus, not the first time I've interacted with people there. Hell, it wasn't even the first time I had even heard my instructor's first lecture! Still, it was interesting to be reimmersed in this environment. DVC has always intrigued me. So much activity, so many people... I actually wouldn't mind going to college there. The only problem is that it wouldn't feel like a college, cuz the campus is a little small, and I'd be waaaaay too close to home for my comfort.

Paul Lou looks a lot like Sammo Hung. The resemblance is uncanny. He seems like a fun, easy-going guy who takes the class seriously. I'm sure he'll be a challenging professor, but he also looks like he's going to be a GOOD teacher and will actually teach us how to think like a programmer. It's too bad he's not gonna be here for the next 2 weeks.... I'm not sure what he's doing, he simply said he'd be gone for 2 weeks and we'd have a sub. (shrugs) I have a feeling I'm gonna miss that crazy guy though, despite the fact that I basically just met him. Things are looking up though. I'm definitely more eager and compelled than I was last year. Lotsa people in my class that I know and did not expect to be in the class, like James Schutt,James Choi, Ian Ling, Chris Yi, Ryan Lewis...Good stuff, and it looks like Justin Leu might be joining our section. Looks like we'll have ourselves a jolly good time. And Brice and Ken will be just around the corner. Sw33t...

Tae kwon do was certainly interesting today...After taking an hour-long nap, I felt strange. I was dizzy, extremely gassy, my stomach was churning, and I couldn't get my bearings straight. I didn't really feel like going, but I went anyway. Perhaps I shouldn't have. I ended up getting a stomach cramp, but part of that may have been simply because I was even more out of shape than I normally am. i hadn't gone for almost 2 weeks, and it waas really starting to show... Still, it was a good workout, and it was worth it just for the feeling of collapsing on the couch afterwards.

Dog Eat Dog: The next in a long-line of game show/reality show hopefuls that are trying to add something "new" to the genre. This show claims to be the first to combine intelligence, strength, and strategy. Personally, I failed to see how its really that revolutionary. It seemed like a weak combination of The Weakest Link and Fear Factor. The team votes on who will take on each challenge, and if that person fails, he or she is sent to the "dog pound." However, if he or she succeeds, that person can select a member of the team who voted for that person to be sent to the dog pound. Good idea on paper, but the execution was really poor. The only challenge that I felt somewhat captivated by was the Treadmill Trivia, in which a person is running on a treadmill that is suspended high in the air while answering trivia questions, and if that person gets a question wrong, the treadmill speeds up. If they had more kooky challenges like that one, I'd probably be more excited about this show. Also, Brooke Burns is a charming host, but she's too friendly and encouraging of the contestants. While the host should have some degree of being a motivator, she really needs to be more edgy to compliment the style of gameplay featured in Dog Eat Dog. I'll be watching again next week, but I wouldn't be surprised if this quickly drops off my TV viewing venue.

meet (meet) v. 1. To be introduced to. 2. To come into the company of, as for a conference. 3. To come to the notice of

So technically, I did not meet a hot girl yesterday. :(

Yeah, it was interesting actually seeing someone my age who lives in the apartment complex/townhouse area. I guess a few people my age do, but I've never really noticed any of them. This one girl caught my eye though....I was riding my bike since I had spent almost the entire day inside at Rodrigo's house, even though he said we were going to go swimming...Somehow, we broke out the N64 and got caught up in 4-player Perfect Dark... Anyways, I was riding my bike around the neighborhood, when I suddenly noticed a very cute girl about my age rollerblading with her mom and little sister. Hehe, I knew that I wouldn't have a chance with her, especially cuz I don't even know her, but still, i fell compelled to follow her...Meh, she's already outta my head though :P I'll probably never see her again. Ce'st la vie...

If anyone reading this (all 3 of you) have any leads on a job, please let me know. My SN, for those of you who don't know, is Tavir. Thank you.
