Things started off well enough, I guess. It was pretty stupid that I didn't need to go to A period at all this morning, but it was fun because I got to play Magic, which I haven't had a chance to play in years. Ah...nostalgic city. The good old days of Foothill, spending lunch outside under the warm, glowing sun and playing Magic with a group of hardcore fans. I wish I could get that group of Rodrigo, James, Brice, Mike, John, Dae Hee, and Sigler back together again for a rousing good time. Lunch wasn't a chore at Foothill like it is at Northgate. Everything's a chore at Northgate... Things are looking reasonably well for me this semester, but I still have to be careful and do a little bit of extra credit if I'm gonna pull off a clean sweep for the semester. The end is within sight... Keep your eyes on the prize, Jason...

Anyways, it seems like there's trouble in paradise again for a good friend of mine. (sigh) People like him make me question whether a girlfriend is really worth the time and effort that I would be putting into it. I don't know, it seems like there's too much disorder in their relationship. While he loves her with all his heart, I can't remember a day that has gone by where he hasn't complained at least once to me about her, even if it's something fairly trivial. I'm still not even sure what happened between them today, but whatever it is, it was pretty big. It had something to do with a quick change of plans; I heard something about not being able to see her for two weeks due to studying for finals.

If I may be frank, I'm not sure whether the two of them are meant to be together. While they are crazy about each other, they simply have too different priorities. This isn't the first time I've heard plans being cancelled or him not being able to see her due to studying or other school-related reasons. It's also not the first time I've seen him bummed out like this. I'm not going to suggest that they do anything drast, cuz it's really not my place, but are they really right for each other? Maybe it's time that they moved on? I don't know, I shouldn't really be commenting like this. I don't even know all the details. I hope he solves this thing soon. Is this the beginning of the end? Is there going to be a rift between certain groups of friends. Eh....now's really not the time for speculation...

On a different note, I want to wish everyone with SATs of some kind tomorrow good luck. It's stress-filled goodness, but apparently you can go to some prestigious colleges if you do well on them, so do your best everyone!
